We are looking for Support Workers who believe in our vision to ensure that every person we support is inspired, and empowered to achieve the best in life.  We are looking for caring people to join the 16-18 Supported Living team.

Hanker Homes has Supported Living services based in Kent, we provide accommodation to young people aged 16-18 years old.

All our Residential Services are staffed 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Please note this role will involve both day and night shifts.

Duties

  • Supporting young people to attend LAC reviews
  • Supporting young people with everyday living skills
  • Supporting young people with budgeting money
  • Supporting young people with physical and mental wellbeing
  • Ability to contact out-of-hours appropriately and liaise with professionals
  • Keeping paperwork up to date to ensure everything is captured for each person who lives in the home

Requirements

  • Must have previous experience working with young people with a variety of needs
  • Must be confident to lone work as well as in a team
  • Must be able to manage a variety of situations
  • Must have a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection is essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective decision-making and judgement
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Achieves all Health & Safety standards
